GROUPM certified as a top employer Europe 2021 with five EMEA market accreditations

GroupM, WPP’s media investment group, has announced that five of its EMEA markets have been recognized by the Top Employers Institute as a Top Employer 2021.

GroupM Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain and the U.K. have all received this global honor resulting in GroupM additionally being awarded Top Employer Europe accreditation for 2021.

Top Employers certifies organizations who are focused on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies and practices. GroupM Spain has now been recognized for eight consecutive years and GroupM U.K. for its fifth year in a row, while Germany is recognized for the second time. Italy and Poland are honored to be recognized for the first time.

Demet Ikiler, EMEA CEO, GroupM: “We are so proud of our teams in all five markets and are thrilled to receive the Top Employers Europe certification for the first time. Our people have all gone above and beyond to navigate the complexities of maintaining supportive and inclusive cultures while the majority of our people work from home. We are so very thankful for all of their hard work and dedication and are delighted that they are being recognized for their efforts.”

David Plink, CEO, Top Employers Institute: “Despite the challenging year we have experienced (which has certainly made an impact on organizations around the globe), GroupM has continued to demonstrate the power of putting their people first in the workplace. We are proud to make this year’s announcement and congratulate the organizations who have been certified across Europe, through the Top Employers Institute programme.”

The Top Employers Institute Global Certification Program has certified and recognized more than 1,600 Top Employers in more than 120 countries/regions across five continents.

The Top Employers Institute program certifies organizations based on the participation and results of their HR Best Practices Survey. This survey covers six HR domains consisting of 20 topics such as People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Well-being and Diversity & Inclusion and more.

Crucial to the Top Employers process is that participating companies must complete a stringent research process and meet the required high standard in order to achieve the certification. To further reinforce the validity of the process, all answers were independently audited, meaning this research has verified GroupM Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain and the U.K.’s outstanding employee conditions and earned a coveted spot among a choice group of certified Top Employers.
