Unilever activates 35 brands for FIFA 2026
The activity aims to deliver social-first storytelling around matchday culture and fan experiences
Unilever has announced its largest sports partnership activation to date as Official Personal Care Sponsor of the FIFA World Cup 2026 tournament, with more than 35 brands participating in a global campaign centred on social-first fan engagement.
Led by Unilever Personal Care, the activation will include brands such as Dove, Dove Men+Care, Rexona/Degree and Axe/Lynx, with activity designed to connect with football fans through creators, live experiences and real-time social media content.
Creator-led strategy targets fan communities
Unilever’s campaign will work with influencers and creators across its largest markets, including sports fans, players, broadcasters and personalities from fashion, lifestyle and beauty sectors.
The activity aims to deliver social-first storytelling around matchday culture and fan experiences beyond the pitch.
As part of the campaign, Unilever will launch House of Fresh™, an in-person creator hub operating across host cities Mexico City, New York and Miami. The spaces are designed to support content creation and social engagement during the tournament.
Real-time content hub supports campaign rollout
The company has also introduced The Locker Room, a 24/7 social media hub developed to create and distribute responsive content across platforms including TikTok and YouTube.
The operation will include creator specialists, community managers and football strategists tasked with responding to cultural moments throughout the tournament.
With the FIFA World Cup 2026™ expected to attract a global audience of around 6 billion, Unilever said the campaign combines the scale of live sports broadcasting with social media engagement designed to extend fan conversations beyond matchdays.
Unilever positions sponsorship around culture
Afke van de Klashorst, Vice President of Integrated Brand Experience, Unilever Personal Care: “The FIFA World Cup 2026™ is one of the biggest cultural moments on the planet. Our ambition is for our brands to show up in spaces where fandom lives and in ways that are authentic, native to social, and meaningful by bringing freshness and confidence to matchday moments that matter most for fans, players and spectators. This activation reflects how we’re engaging with sport not just as sponsorship, but as a platform to build brand desire and cultural relevance to drive superior growth.”
Romy Gai, Chief Business Officer, FIFA: “The FIFA World Cup 2026™ will be the most socially connected and inclusive tournament in our history. Football today lives in real time, in culture and on social platforms – and this tournament is designed to be experienced, shaped and shared by fans wherever they are. Working with partners like Unilever helps turn moments on the pitch into meaningful conversations off it, reaching new generations and making the power of football more accessible, inclusive and impactful than ever before.”
Unilever said the activation forms part of its wider strategy of using cultural partnerships and large-scale global events to strengthen audience engagement and brand growth.
