MiQ acquires Rocket Lab to boost mobile growth

MiQ acquires Rocket Lab to boost mobile growth

Global programmatic media company MiQ has acquired Rocket Lab, a mobile app growth hub, strengthening its mobile in-app capabilities and expanding its presence in growth markets.

The deal combines Rocket Lab’s expertise in app growth with MiQ’s omnichannel services, enabling the company to offer a more integrated solution across media channels.

Strengthening mobile and AI capabilities

MiQ plans to integrate Rocket Lab’s capabilities into Sigma, its AI-powered operating system, incorporating mobile and regional data into its broader data ecosystem. The move is designed to improve in-app performance and deliver more targeted, outcome-driven strategies for clients.

The acquisition also supports MiQ’s broader push into mobile-first environments, where brands are seeking more precise and measurable approaches to customer acquisition and engagement.

Expanding presence in high-growth regions

The announcement follows MiQ’s acquisition of Adsmovil, further strengthening its position in Latin America. Rocket Lab brings an established presence in markets including Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Uruguay, along with experience in scaling user acquisition and engagement.

Together, the companies aim to provide a more comprehensive offering for global advertisers looking to drive growth across multiple regions, while also supporting expansion in Asia-Pacific markets.

Gurman Hundal, Co-Founder and Global CEO, MIQ: "This acquisition is a strategic step forward in our commitment to helping clients accelerate customer acquisition through smarter, data-driven marketing. By giving global brands and agencies access to our first mobile-app offering through Rocket Lab's AI capabilities, we'll deliver better performance that will continue to strengthen over time. With Rocket Lab’s expertise, we can offer even more tailored solutions that drive real business outcomes, ensuring our clients stay ahead in an increasingly mobile and connected world. We will use Rocket Lab's rich data and capabilities to unlock powerful new insights — especially for those looking to grow in dynamic markets across Latin America and Asia."

Maintaining operational continuity

Rocket Lab will continue to operate as an independent business unit under MiQ, with its existing leadership team remaining in place. Juan Echavarria Coll will continue to lead the business as CEO.

Juan Echavarria Coll, CEO & Co-Founder, Rocket Lab: "Combining our mobile strategy with MiQ’s AI-powered technology reinforces our positioning as an App Growth Hub, bringing unparalleled strength to our multisolutions ecosystem and accelerating how brands scale their apps globally."
