JCDecaux renews ad contract with Düsseldorf
The agreement covers advertising rights in public spaces and at bus and tram stops operated by transport company Rheinbahn.
JCDecaux subsidiary Wall GmbH has secured the exclusive advertising contract for the 2m² format in Düsseldorf following a competitive tender.
The contract covers 965 bus shelters and 143 freestanding city information panels across the German city. The panels will include analogue and digital advertising faces, with the number of digital screens set to increase from 125 to 175.
JCDecaux expands Düsseldorf outdoor advertising network
Düsseldorf, the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, has around 620,000 inhabitants and is a major media centre in Germany. The city is home to media agencies and national advertisers, while its Königsallee shopping district attracts luxury brands and consumers with high purchasing power.
The contract follows JCDecaux's successful tender in Hamburg and adds to its presence in major German advertising markets.
Jean-François Decaux, Co-Chief Executive Officer, JCDecaux: “We have enjoyed a partnership with Düsseldorf since 1984. In close collaboration with the city, we have been able to develop one of the most attractive digital advertising networks in Germany over the past few years, thereby creating a premium, high-reach offering for both our clients and Düsseldorf. Over the coming year, we will continue to expand our digital network in Düsseldorf to create additional efficient, data-optimised and targeted communication solutions for advertisers. We would like to thank the state capital and the transport operator Rheinbahn for their continued trust in our company.”
