OUTFRONT brings mental health messages to transit

OUTFRONT has launched a Mental Health Awareness Month campaign in partnership with Creators 4 Mental Health, bringing creator-led mental health messaging into New York City’s transit system through its Moments by OUTFRONT series.

The initiative features affirmations and reflections from creators across social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.

The campaign will run throughout May across OUTFRONT’s transit advertising network in New York City, including Liveboards, Urban Panel and Livecard MAX formats. The company said the initiative is designed to reach commuters with messages focused on mental health awareness, connection and encouragement during daily travel.

Creators 4 Mental Health expands into public spaces

OUTFRONT partnered with Creators 4 Mental Health to extend creator-led mental health conversations beyond digital platforms and into public environments.

Featured creators in the campaign include Vivian Tu, Mike Varshavski, Nimay Ndolo, Frankie Grande and Shira Lazar. OUTFRONT said the participating creators collectively reach more than 40 million followers across social platforms.

Mike Varshavski: “I'm honored to be a part of this campaign, and to shine a bright light on why mental health is as important as one's physical health. All of us can do more to educate folks on the resources available, while also destigmatizing the concept of someone asking for help in the first place.”

Vivian Tu: “Creators pride ourselves on authenticity, and there is nothing more authentic than saying, we all need to prioritize our mental health! Conversations around overall well-being allow all of us to feel better connected and less alone. Mental health is wealth!”

OUTFRONT uses transit media for awareness campaign

The campaign appears across one of the busiest transit systems in the US, where the Metropolitan Transportation Authority records more than four million trips per day.

Shira Lazar, Founder, Creators 4 Mental Health: “This partnership between Creators 4 Mental Health and OUTFRONT is a powerful step forward in making mental health visible in our everyday environments. When messages like this show up in shared public spaces, it sends a clear signal that mental health matters, to our communities, to our culture, and to the future we're building together.”

Liz Rave, VP of Marketing at OUTFRONT: “Purpose-led campaigns have the power to move people in meaningful ways but only when they show up where people are living their lives. By bringing trusted creator voices into IRL media, we're extending conversations around mental health beyond the screen and into the real world, transforming everyday moments into opportunities for connection, reflection, and impact.”

Moments by OUTFRONT expands creator-led content

OUTFRONT said its Moments by OUTFRONT content programming delivers entertainment and informational content across transit systems in five major metropolitan markets in the US, with contextual messaging designed for diverse commuter audiences.
