Ogilvy repositions Storage King as a lifestyle enabler

Storage King has unveiled Stuff It. Live More., a new brand platform developed with Ogilvy that redefines how Australians and New Zealanders think about storage.

Fronted by the endearing characters Bev and Barry, the campaign shifts the narrative from storage as a last-minute necessity to a life-enhancing solution that helps people make room for what truly matters.

The campaign launches this week across Australia and New Zealand through television, YouTube, outdoor, radio, online and in-store activations. It marks the first major initiative from Ogilvy since being appointed Storage King’s creative agency earlier this year.

Reframing storage as a life enabler

Shaun Branagan, creative Director, Ogilvy: “This was a great opportunity to create a new distinctive brand platform for Storage King for the long-term. Taking a humorous approach meant we could shift from the rational to the emotional and create a campaign that avoids the familiar tropes and clichés of the category. We’re showing people what can happen when they have space to move – to travel, for a side hustle, to move house, to start a new business. Secure in the knowledge that their stuff is stored safely and securely.”

By using relatable characters and humour, the campaign positions Storage King as an enabler of life’s possibilities rather than just a storage provider.

Connecting emotion to everyday clutter

Tony Skallias, Group Marketing Manager, Storage King: “For many people, belongings accumulated over the years become far more than mere possessions – they often define and honour our past. Yet these cherished items, while important, can also weigh us down and prevent us from embracing new opportunities and moving forward in life. That's why we've positioned Storage King as the brand that guides and empowers you to see and enjoy life on the other side of storage.

“The Stuff It. Live More. platform operates on several meaningful levels. At its core, it captures that critical tipping point—when the frustration with accumulated clutter reaches its peak and we decide, ‘enough is enough; I’m ready for change.’ This phrase not only reflects that decisive moment of empowerment and control, but it also cleverly plays on the everyday act of storing.”

Humour brings fresh energy to the category

Through Stuff It. Live More., Storage King aims to stand out in a category often dominated by practical messaging. The new platform injects personality, optimism, and humour while positioning the brand as a trusted partner that helps customers focus on living — not just storing.

Bev and Barry embody this spirit, showing how freeing up space can open the door to travel, creativity, and new experiences. The campaign establishes a vibrant tone of voice for the brand, built around the idea that a simpler, more spacious life starts with letting go.
