QuikTrip makes summer work feel like play

The work follows earlier executions that focused on taking a break from daily routines and making time to enjoy the season

Laughlin Constable has extended QuikTrip’s Savor Summerhood platform with Summer Job, a fourth campaign installment that presents seasonal work as part of the experiences that define summer. The 30-second spot follows a golf course employee who pauses his routine to enjoy a memorable moment.

Developed by Laughlin Constable as QuikTrip’s creative and media agency of record, the campaign positions the convenience retailer as part of the everyday experiences that make summer memorable. The work follows earlier executions that focused on taking a break from daily routines and making time to enjoy the season.

The Summer Job film features an individual working as a ball picker on a golf course. During his shift, he takes a break from his routine to enjoy the atmosphere and freedom associated with the summer months.

The campaign builds on QuikTrip’s Savor Summerhood platform, which explores summer through everyday experiences including pool days, neighbourhood activities and long evenings. Rather than presenting summer as a period that needs to be packed with activities, the campaign focuses on finding enjoyment in ordinary moments.

QuikTrip Savor Summerhood campaign expands

The latest installment is running across programmatic connected TV, live sports CTV and social media. The campaign forms part of a broader effort to position QuikTrip within the experiences that consumers associate with the summer season.

The Summer Job spot follows earlier campaign activity launched at the start of summer, which encouraged audiences to step away from their daily routines and enjoy the season. The latest film extends that approach by placing the experience within the context of seasonal employment.
