Kia Europe rolls out storytelling campaign for EV2
Kia Europe has launched The Power of Firsts, an integrated campaign introducing the EV2, the brand’s smallest electric vehicle and its entry-level model in its growing EV portfolio.
Developed with INNOCEAN Berlin, the campaign shifts focus from product features to storytelling, positioning the EV2 as a companion for meaningful life experiences.
Storytelling centred on new experiences
The campaign is built around the idea that “firsts” shape personal development, highlighting moments such as first independent drives, creative milestones and shared journeys. Through a series of short narratives, the EV2 is presented as part of these transitional life experiences.
David Hilbert, Marketing Director: "The EV2 represents a significant step in broadening access to electric mobility within Kia's line-up. With ‘The Power of Firsts’, we want to place the focus on the human experience. The campaign positions the EV2 as a companion to meaningful first moments and demonstrates Kia's ambition to connect with customers in an authentic, meaningful way that reflects how they live today."
Integrated multi-channel rollout
The campaign launches across Europe through a 360-degree media approach, including television, cinema, digital platforms, print and social media. Tailored content has been created for platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, alongside product-focused films and digital assets.
The creative structure is designed to remain flexible across markets while maintaining a consistent narrative, with additional social-first content supporting ongoing engagement.
Gabriel Mattar, Chief Creative Officer, INNOCEAN: "A campaign of this nature is, coincidentally, a first for Kia. It evolves over time, going from a traditional film to a social second chapter. A testimony of Kia's constant search for innovation and inspiration in everything they do."
Expanding Kia’s EV portfolio
The EV2 plays a strategic role in Kia’s electric vehicle strategy, sitting below its larger EV models as a compact entry point into electric mobility. The model is positioned to appeal to new and emerging customer segments through design-led and experience-focused messaging.
A second phase of the campaign is planned for summer 2026, featuring creator collaborations that revisit personal “firsts,” extending the campaign’s narrative into social platforms.
