Dentsu turns fans into Roblox co-creators
The project uses a dedicated Discord community where concept art, gameplay footage and other development updates are shared to gather feedback
Dentsu is overseeing the planning and creative direction of Egg Hunt 2026: The Grand Eggspress, a large-scale role-playing game for Roblox, as part of its strategy to support creator-led content and develop community-driven intellectual property.
The project, created in collaboration with GeekOut Inc. and Studio Koi Koi Inc., forms part of Dentsu's House of Creators initiative, which focuses on supporting content creators and expanding creator-led businesses with global potential.
Community drives development
Egg Hunt 2026: The Grand Eggspress builds on the legacy of Roblox's earlier Egg Hunt events by involving developers, creators and players throughout the development process.
The project uses a dedicated Discord community where concept art, gameplay footage and other development updates are shared to gather feedback and encourage participation before launch. Dentsu said this approach allows community members to contribute to development, crowdfunding and promotion as the project evolves.
Roblox project explores creator economy
According to Dentsu, the initiative reflects the growing role of user-generated content platforms, where audiences increasingly participate in creating, shaping and promoting content rather than simply consuming it.
The company said the project combines Roblox, Discord and crowdfunding into a single ecosystem that brings together community building, content development, funding and marketing. Beyond the game, Dentsu sees opportunities to expand the intellectual property into merchandise, events, publishing and other entertainment formats.
Game continues Roblox tradition
Egg Hunt 2026: The Grand Eggspress follows players as they travel aboard the Grand Eggspress train across six worlds in search of more than 100 collectible eggs. The game includes puzzles, quests, non-player characters and a storyline centred on the mystery of the Century Egg.
Designed to offer more than 10 hours of gameplay, the title will continue to receive live content updates for four weeks following its release.
Dentsu said it will continue working with intellectual property owners, creators and development studios across Roblox and other user-generated content platforms as it expands its focus on community-driven marketing and original intellectual property creation.
