Clear Channel Outdoor partners with Blood Cancer United for OOH awareness campaign
Clear Channel Outdoor has partnered with Blood Cancer United – formerly The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society – to launch an Out-of-Home campaign marking the nonprofit’s new name and identity.
The campaign, which debuted during Blood Cancer Awareness Month in September, focuses on the organization’s mission to support everyone affected by blood cancer and to emphasize that patients are more than their diagnosis.
Running across major U.S. cities including Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, and New York, the campaign underscores Blood Cancer United’s message that life with blood cancer is still defined by purpose, people, and possibilities.
Campaign highlights hope and connection
The partnership expands on Blood Cancer United’s first national advertising initiative in more than ten years. As part of the rollout, two Clear Channel Outdoor digital billboards in New York’s Times Square were illuminated during Advertising Week on October 9, celebrating the organization’s community of patients, families, and supporters. The billboards also showcased Blood Cancer United’s long-term goal: by 2040, helping people with blood cancer gain more than one million years of life.

Lynn Godfrey, SVP and Chief Experience Officer, Blood Cancer United: "This campaign and our new brand reflect the voices of patients, families, volunteers, and supporters who have shared their experiences with us. We want everyone touched by blood cancer to feel seen, supported, and connected to our mission, and to be able to focus on life beyond their diagnosis. Thanks to partners like Clear Channel Outdoor, we're able to share our message of hope far and wide – ensuring that no one faces blood cancer alone."
Uniting communities through OOH media
Blood Cancer United unveiled its new name and brand identity on August 28, 2025, marking a significant step in its ongoing transformation and renewed focus on uniting the blood cancer community. The integrated campaign extends beyond Out-of-Home to include broadcast, digital, social, and PR activations running through the end of the year.
Dan Levi, EVP and CMO, Clear Channel Outdoor: "Our partnership with Blood Cancer United demonstrates how our Out-of-Home media platform has the power to bring together communities around a shared mission. We're proud to help shine a light on Blood Cancer United's lifesaving work through this campaign, which not only connects with more people affected by blood cancer but also honors their personal stories of strength, hope, and resilience."
