BIOLYTE campaign targets daily hydration habits
Medical-strength hydration company BIOLYTE has launched its first national campaign, aiming to reposition hydration as an everyday necessity rather than a solution reserved for athletes or recovery. Created in partnership with Fitzco, the campaign broadens the brand’s audience to include workers, parents, and fitness enthusiasts.
The campaign, titled LYTE IT UP, presents hydration as part of daily performance, focusing on real-life scenarios instead of traditional sports-driven messaging. It marks a shift in how BIOLYTE communicates its medical-strength positioning.
Reframing hydration beyond sports and recovery
At the center of the campaign is a group of characters referred to as Thirst Responders, representing everyday individuals dealing with dehydration in different contexts. The concept draws attention to situations such as long work hours in the heat or managing illness at home, positioning hydration as a practical, ongoing need.
The campaign emphasizes the product’s physician-formulated background, reinforcing its credibility while avoiding exaggerated claims or reliance on elite athletic imagery.
Jesslyn Rollins, CEO, BIOLYTE: "BIOLYTE was built by a physician who saw how fast proper hydration could change someone's recovery. We've always known it works. This campaign is about reaching people before they're already wiped out."
Creative rooted in brand reality
The Thirst Responders concept stems from real-world brand activity, according to the agency behind the work. By drawing on existing outreach efforts, the campaign connects creative storytelling with the company’s day-to-day engagement.
Ryan Boblett, Head of Creative at Fitzco: "The Thirst Responders isn't just a creative concept. It was inspired by a real BIOLYTE team working in communities every day to spread the word about this exceptional product. I love when you can take a truth about a brand and celebrate it in a unique creative way."
Expanding relevance through relatable storytelling
With this campaign, BIOLYTE positions itself within a broader lifestyle context, aiming to reach consumers before dehydration becomes a problem. The focus on relatable characters and scenarios reflects a strategy to integrate hydration into daily routines rather than situational use.
