Axi unveils campaign celebrating City women

Axi has launched a campaign celebrating Manchester City Women’s Women’s Super League title win and announced a donation to the City Girls Programme, operated by Manchester City Football Club charity City in the Community.

The campaign, titled My Roots, focuses on the team’s title-winning season under head coach Andree Jeglertz and highlights themes of preparation, consistency and performance.

Campaign celebrates WSL-winning season

Axi, which serves as Manchester City’s official trading partner, said the campaign reflects values shared between the company and the club throughout the season.

The campaign also marks Manchester City Women’s success in the Women’s Super League following a season in which the team established itself at the top of the division with an attacking style of play.

Julie Sharova, head of global marketing at Axi: “Manchester City Women are WSL Champions and they have earned every bit of that title.”

Julie Sharova: “There is something about this team — the way they carry themselves, the standards they hold themselves to, the way they lift each other — that speaks directly to what we believe in at Axi. My Roots is our way of celebrating them.”

Julie Sharova: “And our donation to the City Girls Programme is our way of making sure the next generation of women in sport, in trading, in whatever they choose has the chance to create their own defining moments.”

Donation supports grassroots participation

The City Girls Programme is designed to increase participation in sport among women and girls across Greater Manchester while supporting leadership development and grassroots opportunities.

Axi said the donation forms part of its longer-term partnership with Manchester City and reflects a broader focus on community engagement beyond sponsorship activity.

City in the Community is the official charity of Manchester City Football Club and delivers programmes across Greater Manchester focused on youth development and health through football initiatives.
