PRCA welcomes BHM Qomms as latest member

The Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) has announced BHM Qomms – BlackHouse Media’s (BHM) UK operation – as its latest corporate member.

The announcement comes at an exciting time for BHM as it becomes the first Nigerian public relations agency to open internationally.

The move into the UK is significant, not only for the independent firm, but also for the African continent where agency growth has often been driven by affiliations and acquisitions by agency holding groups from Europe and America; and most recently, Asia.

BHM is led by Founder and CEO Ayeni Adekunle, a former journalist and PRCA PR and Communications Council Member. Its UK operation is based from London and Edinburgh.

Ayeni Adekunle, CEO, BlackHouse Media: ‘‘Our dream is to give the world its first truly global agency from Africa. Becoming a PRCA member was a priority for us following our launch in the UK. With significant bilateral trade opportunities between UK and Africa, we are uniquely positioned to help not only clients, but the broader UK PR industry, better understand Africa. PRCA membership puts us at the heart of industry conversations.”

Francis Ingham, Director Genera, PRCAl: “I’m delighted to welcome BHM Qomms to the PRCA family. Like us, Ayeni and his team bring a sharp global mindset to their operations. They will no doubt add a unique perspective on how our industry can explore new ground and better work with emerging, exciting markets.”
