PRCA and PAAN form alliance to boost African PR

The Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) has announced a strategic alliance with the Pan-African Agency Network (PAAN), marking an important step in advancing professional standards and collaboration across Africa’s creative and communications sectors.

PAAN brings together independent agencies in communications, advertising, marketing, and technology from across Africa and its diaspora. The organisation aims to unite the continent’s creative ecosystem and ensure African ideas and talent have a global impact.

Partnership to drive collaboration and professional growth

The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation between PRCA and PAAN, two influential organisations committed to promoting ethics, excellence, and opportunity in the communications field. The partnership will open new avenues for knowledge sharing, professional development, and cross-market collaboration between Africa and the global communications community.

Through the alliance, members will benefit from shared insights, joint events, mutual promotion, and shared advocacy. Both organisations have also committed to exploring joint training and learning initiatives to support professional development across the continent.

Elevating standards and visibility across Africa

Sarah Waddington CBE, CEO, PRCA: “We’re delighted to formalise our partnership with the Pan-African Agency Network. By joining forces with PAAN, we’re helping to elevate professional standards, ethical practice, and connectivity across Africa, fostering meaningful relationships between the continent’s creative talent and the global communications community.”

Duncan Njue, Partnerships Director, PAAN: “This partnership is a milestone in our mission to strengthen Africa’s creative and communications community. By aligning with PRCA, we’re creating new opportunities for collaboration, visibility, and professional growth — ensuring that Africa’s communicators are not only seen but heard on the global stage.”

Strengthening Africa’s position in global communications

The partnership underscores a shared ambition to enhance Africa’s presence within the global communications industry. By combining networks and expertise, PRCA and PAAN aim to support talent development, champion ethical practice, and promote African creativity as a driving force in international communications.
