Uber partners with TripleLift on open-web advertising

The partnership combines Uber's first-party consumer data with TripleLift's advertising inventory and creative formats to extend audience targeting beyond Uber's owned apps.

TripleLift has been selected as the first partner for Uber Advertising's offsite audience expansion in the US, enabling advertisers to reach Uber audiences across the premium open internet.

The collaboration allows advertisers to activate audiences using signals derived from consumer movement, ordering and shopping behaviour. Buyers can access these audiences through curated Private Marketplace (PMP) deals across display, native advertising and online video, on both websites and mobile apps.

TripleLift expands Uber's audience reach beyond its apps

The partnership gives advertisers access to Uber's consumer insights across third-party digital environments, extending the reach of its commerce media offering beyond its owned platforms.

Dave Helmreich, CEO, TripleLift: "Commerce media shouldn't stop at the edge of an app. Some of the highest-intent audience signals in advertising live inside commerce environments, but until now, advertisers couldn't expand those signals into the open internet. This partnership removes that boundary. By bringing Uber's real-world insights to TripleLift's inventory and creative formats, we are giving buyers a practical path to turn commerce signals into clear omni-channel campaign performance."

Advertisers gain access to data-led targeting

The collaboration is designed to help brands reach consumers based on real-world behavioural signals while expanding campaign reach across premium open-web inventory. Advertisers can use Uber audiences beyond its owned platforms to pursue incremental reach across the digital environments where consumers spend time.

Campaigns can be activated through existing demand-side platform (DSP) workflows using PMP deal curation. This approach gives buyers flexibility in how they purchase inventory while connecting audience targeting with a range of advertising formats.

Uber Advertising extends its commerce media offering

Josh Butler, Global Head of Advertising, Uber: "Uber Advertising has built a clear picture of consumer behavior based on how people move, eat, and shop every day, and expanding offsite lets advertisers put those insights to work in more places. By partnering with TripleLift, we can extend that reach across premium inventory and formats, helping brands connect with consumers before and after their Uber rides or deliveries."

The partnership supports Uber Advertising's efforts to make its first-party audience insights available beyond its own apps, giving brands more opportunities to engage consumers throughout their digital journeys.

TripleLift focuses on data, creative and campaign performance

The agreement builds on TripleLift's focus on connecting first-party data, creative formats and curated advertising supply to support campaign outcomes. Its platform combines audience activation with high-impact advertising formats to help advertisers coordinate campaigns across channels.

As commerce media expands beyond retailers' and platforms' owned environments, the partnership offers advertisers another route to activate commerce-based audience data across the open internet.
