Ogilvy Network reaches 30 Lions at Cannes

Ogilvy Network reaches 30 Lions at Cannes

The network’s top recognition came in the Entertainment Lions for Gaming category

The Ogilvy network added a Grand Prix, three Gold Lions, one Silver and nine Bronze Lions on the second day of the 2026 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, bringing its total medal count to 30 Lions after two days of competition.

The network’s top recognition came in the Entertainment Lions for Gaming category, where DAVID New York won the Grand Prix for Copycats Welcome, created for Clash Royale.

Grand Prix for Clash Royale campaign

The campaign addressed a long-running challenge for Clash Royale, one of the world's most successful mobile games, which has faced numerous imitators replicating its branding, gameplay and characters.

Rather than pursuing legal action, the campaign invited players of copycat games to transfer their progress and in-game currency into the original Clash Royale. The initiative targeted players through online communities and directed them to a dedicated platform where they could convert achievements from imitation games into rewards within Clash Royale.

Andre Toledo, Chief Creative Officer of DAVID New York: “We’re beyond proud to have won a Grand Prix in gaming for our ‘Copycats Welcome' campaign with Clash Royale, and especially honored to receive this recognition for the second year in a row with Supercell. What began as a simple insight, that copycat games were copying our game, evolved into a breakthrough idea, brought to life through the incredible hard work of our team and the bravery of our partners at Supercell to back bold, original thinking. A huge thank you to everyone involved, and looking forward to maintaining this momentum to see what comes next.”

Gold Lions across three categories

The network also secured three Gold Lions across Film Craft, Digital Craft and Entertainment Lions for Sport.

Grey Mexico won Gold in Film Craft – Sound Design for Bullet Machine, created for La Unión Newspaper and Article 19. Released to coincide with World Press Freedom Day, the campaign highlighted the impact of violence against journalists on their families and communities.

Circus Grey earned Gold in Digital Craft – Innovative Use of Technology for SOS POS on behalf of BCP Bank. The initiative responded to Peru's high rate of mobile phone theft by enabling customers to block bank accounts instantly through payment terminals at participating businesses, eliminating the need for apps or phone calls.

Sports partnership campaign wins Gold

DAVID Bogotá and DAVID Madrid received Gold in Entertainment Lions for Sport – Brand Partnerships, Sponsorships & Collaborations for Resize the Price, developed for Aguila Beer.

The campaign addressed the rising cost of football jerseys in Colombia by linking the retail price of the shirts to the size of Aguila's sponsor logo. Under the initiative, a larger logo reduced the cost of the jersey, making official merchandise more accessible to fans.

The awards contributed to a strong second day for the Ogilvy network as agencies across its global operations continued to collect honours across multiple Cannes Lions categories.
