Compagnie de l’Étoile des Mers increases stake in Havas NV
Compagnie de l’Etoile des Mers is increasing its shareholding in Havas NV and will appoint Yannick Bolloré as Chairman, alongside his existing role leading Havas NV.
The move consolidates ownership within the Bolloré group structure and increases Compagnie de l’Etoile des Mers’ influence over the communications network.
Shareholding structure consolidated
Since Havas NV’s listing on Euronext Amsterdam in December 2024, Bolloré SE has held a 30.4 percent stake in the company. In recent months, Compagnie de l’Etoile des Mers, controlled by Bolloré Participations, has acquired close to 19 percent of Havas NV.
Yannick Bolloré, Chairman and CEO of Havas NV, also purchased 2.9 percent of the share capital through his vehicle YB6 in the weeks following the listing. He will now transfer YB6 to Compagnie de l’Etoile des Mers to combine the shareholdings.
Leadership aligned with ownership
Following completion of the transaction, Compagnie de l’Etoile des Mers will hold approximately 22 percent of Havas NV’s share capital. Yannick Bolloré will assume the role of Chairman of Compagnie de l’Etoile des Mers in addition to his responsibilities at Havas NV.
The transactions reinforce the Bolloré group’s long-term commitment to Havas NV and signal continued confidence in the company’s management team and performance.
