Morgan & Morgan blends comedy with legal messaging
American law firm Morgan & Morgan is rolling out new installments of its national campaigns, You Wouldn’t and Power Move, combining cinematic production and humor to communicate the firm’s legal expertise.
The campaigns aim to engage audiences while emphasizing the message that when stakes are high, clients should choose a firm with the resources to win.
The latest You Wouldn’t spot, titled Laid Off, opens in a corporate office where an employee expecting difficult news is instead greeted by a barbershop quartet. The ad highlights social missteps and everyday absurdities, reinforcing the campaign’s tagline: some situations are too important to gamble with.
John Morgan, Founder, Morgan & Morgan: "I’ve never been afraid to break the mold or crack a smile with our ads. Humor is a hallmark of our brand, but results are our legacy. Our newest campaign bridges that gap, striking a balance between creativity and delivering an important message: when it matters most, you want the firm that has the resources to win against corporate defendants."
Campaigns that blend humor and confidence
The original You Wouldn’t series previously explored scenarios of social self-sabotage, such as hiring an ex to officiate a wedding.
The Power Move campaign launched with a crime-drama-inspired spot featuring an owl enforcing smart decisions. Its newest family-focused installment shows parents leaving their children with grandma, who enlists WWE superstar Liv Morgan for backup. The commercial features Morgan & Morgan’s real family, including Matt and Kassidy Morgan and grandmother Ultima Morgan, emphasizing authenticity.
Carlos Wigle, Chief Creative Officer, Morgan & Morgan: "The ambition was simple: make it unforgettable. There was a time when campaigns didn’t just run, they lived in culture. You could quote them. ‘You Wouldn’t’ and ‘Power Move’ are built on one clear idea executed as hard as we can push it. It’s an homage to that era and hopefully a reminder that comedy, when done with conviction, cuts through more than anything."
Campaigns created in-house by Morgan & Morgan will run nationally across broadcast, digital, audio and out-of-home throughout 2026, reinforcing the firm’s brand with humor and strategic messaging.
