IAB launches Global Creator Week initiative

More than 200 million people worldwide identify as content creators, with around 50 million working as professional or semi-professional creators

The IAB Global Network will host the first IAB Global Creator Week from September 14 to 18, bringing together industry organizations from around the world to promote collaboration, education and professional standards in creator marketing.

The initiative will connect IAB chapters in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Poland, Slovenija, South Africa, Türkiye, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and the United States, alongside regional organizations IAB Europe and IAB MENA. The program is intended to create a shared platform for discussions on both local market priorities and broader industry challenges.

Global collaboration for creator marketing

More than 200 million people worldwide identify as content creators, with around 50 million working as professional or semi-professional creators. IAB said the growth of the creator economy has increased the need for greater transparency, stronger measurement frameworks, consistent governance and more scalable collaboration across international markets.

Events will be tailored to the priorities of individual markets under the theme think globally, act locally. Activities will include panel discussions, fireside chats and showcases of local initiatives. In the United States, IAB will also introduce the IAB CreatorFronts, a marketplace designed to connect buyers and sellers and encourage partnership opportunities.

Digital hub to connect participating markets

Alongside local events, IAB Global Creator Week will include a central digital hub available across all participating IAB Global Member markets. The platform will feature global event listings, highlight key insights from participating organizations and provide access to educational resources focused on creator marketing.

In addition to the chapters hosting local events, IAB organizations in Argentina, Austria, Chile, Italy, Southeast Asia, India, Spain, Sweden and Uruguay will contribute educational content and thought leadership to expand the hub's global knowledge base.

Long-term platform for international cooperation

IAB said Global Creator Week is intended to become an ongoing platform rather than a one-off initiative. The organization aims to support better alignment of buying cycles across markets, encourage cross-border learning and improve efficiencies for multinational creator marketing campaigns.
