Bastion USA and BUNTIN announce agency merger

The merger brings together Bastion’s integrated, multidisciplinary structure with BUNTIN’s US market presence and creative capabilities

Bastion USA and BUNTIN have agreed to merge, creating an independent agency network designed to combine the scale of a global group with the speed and flexibility of an independent agency. The combined business will operate as BastionBUNTIN in the United States and become part of the wider Bastion Group.

The merger brings together Bastion’s integrated, multidisciplinary structure with BUNTIN’s US market presence and creative capabilities. The companies are positioning the combined operation around the idea of Creating Strength Through Conviction, with a focus on integrated services, collaboration and measurable business outcomes.

BastionBUNTIN combines independent agency capabilities

Cheuk Chiang, Group CEO, Bastion: “This is a transformational moment for both our agencies. We’re creating a model in the USA for what the future of independent marketing looks like. Connected and collaborative with the depth of capability of a network yet delivering with the speed and service of an independent.”

The combined US network will be headquartered across offices in Nashville, Los Angeles and New York, with Nashville becoming a key hub for North American operations. It will connect with Bastion Group operations in Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland and Wellington.

BastionBUNTIN will offer capabilities spanning brand strategy, creative, media, communications, PR, digital, insights and experience. The model will allow clients to work with integrated teams and access specialist expertise across markets without the structure and bureaucracy associated with traditional holding company networks.

Jeffrey Buntin, Jr., Owner, BUNTIN and US Co-Chairman of the merged business: “Modern marketers need agency partners who are transparent, nimble and client-centric, not simply focused on growing their own businesses. We’ve always believed that great work doesn’t just capture attention, it inspires conviction and drives business results. Joining forces with Bastion gives us the infrastructure, expertise and reach to do that on a global scale and help more clients to become stronger. It’s an alignment of vision, not just business.”

Merger expands Bastion’s US agency network

The deal follows a series of strategic moves by Bastion to expand its international presence and strengthen its US operations. For BUNTIN, the merger provides access to additional markets and disciplines while creating opportunities for clients and employees across North America and Australia-New Zealand.

Jeff Browe, CEO, BastionBUNTIN: “This partnership extends far beyond geography. It’s about uniting people, ideas and expertise around a shared belief in integration and outcomes. We’re building a network for modern marketers that’s global by design and independent by choice.”

BastionBUNTIN USA will operate as part of Bastion Group, with the combined business aiming to expand its integrated independent agency model and provide clients with access to capabilities across markets.
