Coca-Cola introduces global visual identity
The updated identity is being introduced across Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia
The Coca-Cola Company has launched a global visual identity system designed to create a more consistent brand experience across its operations in more than 200 markets.
The updated identity is being introduced across Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, with the company aiming to strengthen recognition by placing greater emphasis on its established visual assets.
Brand assets take centre stage
The refreshed system gives greater prominence to Coca-Cola's red and white colour palette, Dynamic Ribbon, Arden Square and Spencerian script across packaging, retail environments, equipment and digital channels.
The company said the changes are intended to ensure Coca-Cola branding remains consistent wherever consumers encounter the brand.
Arnab Roy, President, Coca-Cola Global Category: "Coca-Cola is one of the most recognized brands in the world, and with that comes a responsibility to keep evolving.
"This refresh is about being clearer and more consistent in how we show up, wherever people experience our brand. By building on the things people already know and love, we're creating a stronger foundation for growth while staying unmistakably Coca-Cola."
Zero Sugar receives updated design
Coca-Cola Zero Sugar is also receiving an updated design that draws more closely on the master brand's visual identity while retaining its own distinguishing features.
The redesign includes larger Zero Sugar text, a more prominent black Dynamic Ribbon on cans and a black bottle cap on PET packaging.
Rapha Abreu, Global Vice President of Design at The Coca-Cola Company: "For over a century, Coca-Cola has been a global symbol of optimism and authenticity. Now, with one seamless visual identity, we can deliver one recognizable brand experience to consumers."
New tools support global rollout
To support implementation of the new identity, Coca-Cola has introduced an updated Brand Center alongside Design Intelligence tools for its internal design and marketing teams and agency partners.
The company said the platforms are intended to support governance, design quality and consistency as the visual identity is rolled out globally.
