JustWatch TV debuts across 11 markets

The service aims to help audiences find and watch titles directly within the JustWatch platform, including films and series that may be harder to discover across existing streaming services.

The JustWatch Group has launched JustWatch TV, a streaming service integrated into its website and apps, expanding its platform beyond content discovery to direct viewing.

The service debuts across 11 markets, including the US, UK, Canada, Germany, France and Australia, reaching an audience of 50 million global consumers who use JustWatch to discover films and series.

JustWatch TV launches with 30 content partners, with further additions planned. Newly announced partners include Cineverse in the US, Leonine Studios in Germany, SND in France and Altitude in the UK. They join previously announced partners Paramount, New Regency, Fremantle, Bleecker Street and Vortex Media.

JustWatch expands from discovery to streaming

David Croyé, Founder and CEO of the JustWatch Group: "The launch of JustWatch TV marks the most important new development in our company’s twelve-year history, and it’s only the start. We called our company JustWatch because we wanted to make it easier for people to find and ‘just watch’ the movies and shows they love. From the beginning, our vision was to create a single platform that directs fans to all of their entertainment options in one place. JustWatch TV will help fill in the gaps and will make it easier for the massive JustWatch audience to discover and watch great movies and series, including those hard-to-find titles, right from the app itself."

JustWatch TV combines editorial curation and recommendations, including its Why to Watch features, with data-driven content discovery. The company draws on audience demand insights derived from billions of data points to curate a catalogue that complements the wider streaming market.

JustWatch TV offers free, rental and subscription options

The service is available through the JustWatch website and mobile and TV apps, with three viewing options. JustWatch TV Free provides a curated selection of titles supported by advertising. JustWatch TV Store offers a growing catalogue of recent and popular films for rental, while JustWatch TV Plus provides ad-free access to numerous catalogue titles and additional streaming guide and app features.

The three-tier model gives users different ways to access content within the same platform, combining advertising-funded viewing, paid rentals and an ad-free offering.

Streaming service strengthens JustWatch Media insights

The launch also supports JustWatch Media, the group's campaign planning and buying service for film marketing. The business works with studios, distributors, streaming platforms and media agencies on campaigns across digital channels, including YouTube, Meta and TikTok.

By adding direct viewing to its discovery platform, JustWatch expects to develop deeper audience data and insights that can inform its media services. The company also plans to expand its content partnerships, increase the available catalogue and continue developing the product as it scales the service internationally.
