Tanqueray taps Sarah Jessica Parker to celebrate the power of ‘No’
Tanqueray has announced global ambassador Sarah Jessica Parker as the face of its latest campaign, “There’s an N and an O in every ICON,” spotlighting the brand’s commitment to excellence through its iconic London Dry Gin. The campaign draws on the idea that life’s ‘no’s often lead to the most spectacular outcomes—a principle reflected in Tanqueray’s own history of experimentation.
Patricia Borges, Global Managing Director of Gins and Rums, Diageo “Tanqueray’s legacy is about never compromising. Sarah Jessica Parker was the perfect choice to launch this cultural movement and embody our philosophy of turning ‘no’s into iconic moments. The many ‘no’s I’ve encountered in my career have pushed me forward, often leading to unexpected and spectacular places. This campaign celebrates that journey.”
Developed by AlmapBBDO, the campaign combines culture, conscious choices, and craft. A short film directed by Paul McLean and shot by Miles Aldridge features Parker reflecting on the pivotal ‘no’s that shaped her path, while showcasing Tanqueray London Dry Gin and classic cocktails like the Dirty Martini and Gin & Tonic.
The campaign honors Tanqueray’s heritage of experimentation: nearly 200 years ago, founder Charles Tanqueray tested over 300 recipes before perfecting the London Dry Gin, a spirit still made to the same exacting standards today.
Guilherme Martins, CMO Brazil, Diageo. “This movement marks a new chapter for Tanqueray globally. It celebrates our uncompromising approach while connecting with consumers who value quality, purpose, and culture.”
The partnership with Parker is just the beginning, with future campaigns set to feature other global voices, curated experiences, and culturally resonant content across markets including the U.S., U.K., Brazil, Italy, China, and India.
