WPP Media partners with Kily on AI commerce

The partnership integrates Kily's AI-powered commerce capabilities with WPP Open

WPP Media has formed a strategic technology partnership with AI startup Kily to strengthen its commerce offering in India, combining agentic AI with media planning to help brands manage commerce operations across marketplaces and quick commerce platforms.

The partnership integrates Kily's AI-powered commerce capabilities with WPP Open, WPP's marketing platform, enabling WPP Media's Commerce Practice in India to provide a more connected approach to commerce planning, activation and optimisation.

Partnership targets commerce operations

Kily develops AI agents that automate commerce functions including product listings, pricing and advertising across multiple digital commerce platforms.

According to WPP Media, combining these capabilities with WPP Open will help brands improve consistency, respond more quickly to market changes and optimise investments across the customer purchase journey.

AI platform supports planning and optimisation

The companies said the partnership is intended to support a more unified commerce strategy by bringing together signals from marketplaces, categories and consumer touchpoints. The approach is designed to improve planning, inventory alignment, media optimisation and campaign performance across India's commerce ecosystem.

Sankalp Mehrotra, Co-founder and CEO, Kily: "Kily is deeply focussed on bringing autonomy to commerce management. India's fragmented multi-marketplace landscape makes a solution like ours critical for judgment, decision making and outcomes at scale. Working with WPP Media, we are enabling brands to respond faster, operate more efficiently and unlock stronger performance across quick commerce and marketplaces."

Commerce strategy moves towards automation

Ashwin Padmanabhan, COO, WPP Media South Asia: "Ecommerce today is no longer linear, it is shaped by multiple signals, fragmented platforms and constant shifts in demand. This partnership allows us to bring these moving parts into a more connected system, where planning, activation and measurement are continuously aligned. By embedding AI-led intelligence into everyday decision-making, the integrated commerce planner is enabling brands to move from reactive execution to a more predictive, outcome-driven approach to growth."

WPP Media said the partnership builds on its focus on autonomous advertising by combining AI-powered planning and optimisation with commerce data to help clients improve decision-making, increase visibility and better align demand, inventory and media investment.
