Omnicom sets strategy after Interpublic acquisition

Omnicom has detailed its future structure and leadership team after completing its acquisition of Interpublic on 26 November 2025. The combined organisation brings together an expanded global portfolio powered by Omni, the company’s intelligence platform, and is positioned to support clients across every area of modern marketing and sales.

The company highlighted five strategic advantages that underpin its integrated offer: a strengthened media ecosystem, influential content capabilities, connected commerce expertise, enterprise-level generative AI capacity, and a unified identity solution anchored by Acxiom RealID.

Leadership named to guide Connected Capabilities

Omnicom’s Connected Capabilities unite agency brands across media, commerce, precision marketing, advertising, production, health, public relations, branding, and experiential disciplines. The following leaders will oversee these areas:

  • Florian Adamski, CEO, Omnicom Media
  • Chris Foster, CEO, Omnicom Public Relations
  • Sergio Lopez, CEO, Omnicom Production
  • Duncan Painter, CEO, Omni and Flywheel Commerce Network
  • Troy Ruhanen, CEO, Omnicom Advertising
  • Michael Larson, CEO, Diversified Agency Services

Reporting within Diversified Agency Services:

  • Dana Maiman, CEO, Omnicom Health
  • Mark O’Brien, CEO, Omnicom Branding
  • Luke Taylor, CEO, Omnicom Precision Marketing

Enterprise-wide client solutions will be supported by Omnicom’s Client Success Leaders, led by Jacki Kelley and Andrea Lennon, and by a Global Growth Team led by George Manas, who transitions from his leadership of OMD Worldwide on 1 February 2026.

John Wren continues as Chairman and CEO, with Phil Angelastro as EVP and CFO, and Philippe Krakowsky and Daryl Simm serving as Co-Presidents and COOs.

Client engagement and upcoming milestones

Omnicom said it has been engaging with major clients ahead of the integration and has seen strong support for its strategy. The company plans to prioritise continuity of service and accelerate delivery of its combined capabilities in the coming weeks.

Key milestones include the unveiling of the next generation of Omni at CES 2026, followed by year-end earnings in February and an investor day with updates on integration and capital allocation plans. Omnicom increased its dividend to 0.80 dollars per share on 26 November 2025, citing confidence in its cash generation and synergy outlook.

John Wren, Chairman and CEO, Omnicom: “The expertise and dedication of our leadership team and the promise of our Connected Capabilities make us uniquely positioned to turn this moment into a catalyst for intelligent growth – for our people, our clients and our shareholders. I am proud to welcome the people, agencies and clients of Interpublic to Omnicom and create a global community of the best and brightest professionals in the industry, all of whom will have access to the most advanced AI tools and Omni, our advanced intelligence platform. Together, we will be the go-to company that shapes how brands grow, people connect and culture evolves.”
