Alliance and PAAN unite to strengthen independent agencies globally

The Alliance of Independent Agencies has entered into a partnership with the Pan-African Agency Network (PAAN), creating a global framework designed to connect and strengthen independent agencies across Africa and beyond. The collaboration aims to support growth, creativity, and professional development while promoting global opportunities for members.

At the centre of the partnership is a shared belief that independent agencies are stronger when they work together. The two organisations will co-develop initiatives to foster collaboration, build local capacity, and enhance the international presence of independent agencies.

Terry Martin, managing director, the Alliance: "This partnership with PAAN is an exciting and important step for the global independent agency community. By connecting with our peers across Africa, we’re opening up new pathways for learning, cultural exchange, and creative excellence. Together, we can amplify the voice of independent agencies on the world stage."

Duncan Njue, partnerships director, the Pan-African Agency Network: "This partnership marks an important moment for Africa’s independent agencies. By connecting with the Alliance, we’re not only giving our creativity and innovation a stronger global platform, but also creating pathways for collaboration, learning, and growth that will strengthen agencies across the continent."

The partnership will promote cross-network creativity, tackle shared industry challenges, and develop leadership skills through training and workshops. It will also focus on showcasing innovation through joint awards, co-hosted events, and conferences both online and in person.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion will be a central focus, ensuring that the collaboration reflects and promotes the values of inclusivity and equal opportunity across the global agency community.

As part of the agreement, members of both organisations will gain reciprocal access to awards, benchmarking tools, training programmes, and events without the need for dual membership.

The partnership reinforces the shared mission of the Alliance and PAAN to break down borders, foster collaboration, and create an environment where independent agencies can thrive both locally and globally.
