Hearst to acquire Austin American-Statesman, strengthening its newspaper portfolio
The announcement was made by Hearst President and CEO Steven R. Swartz, and Gannett Chairman and CEO Mike Reed. Terms were not disclosed, and the transaction is expected to close in Q1.
