ShoppingTomorrow presents 25 bluepapers about e-Commerce

ShoppingTomorrow presented the anniversary book Be the Change, in which 600 experts examine the latest insights and visions on e-Commerce and its future in 25 bluepapers.

The book is the final piece of the tenth research year of ShoppingTomorrow, the exclusive network that has been helping Dutch businesses to make future-proof since 2013 and the innovation engine of Thuiswinkel.org.

Retail continues to digitize

After two turbulent corona years, Dutch companies have found themselves in different, but not necessarily calmer waters. It is certain that the world continues to digitize. ShoppingTomorrow embraces this constant factor and encourages BV Nederland to create the future itself as much as possible.

In recent corona years, online consumer spending has grown to unprecedented heights. Although consumers have found the physical store again for their product purchases, online product sales are significantly higher than pre-corona.

It is a search for a new digital growth balance at a higher level, in another exciting time, with war on our continent, an energy crisis, scarcity of raw materials and personnel, inflation and fragile consumer confidence.

The way forward

The ShoppingTomorrow experts point the way towards an uncertain, but undoubtedly digital future: the Dutch expect that in five years they will do 41 percent of their spending online, according to the GfK Consumer Survey as part of ShoppingTomorrow. That is 10 percentage points more than the online share now.

Gratis: 25 bluepapers

This anniversary year, twenty-five expert groups focused on developments that shape the future of digital commerce. Their bluepapers, made by and for the market, can be downloaded from the ShoppingTomorrrow site . They are full of step-by-step plans, concrete tips and examples around various sub-areas of digital commerce, for brands and retailers and for organizations in finance, travel and B2B.

In the coming weeks, summaries of the bluepapers will be published on the ShoppingTomorrow website and in the (trade) media. The book with the bundled bluepapers will be published in mid-November
