Weber Shandwick UK appoints Yan Elliott as Chief Creative Officer

Weber Shandwick, the earned-first global communications agency, has appointed Yan Elliott to the role of Chief Creative Officer to bolster the agency’s overall creative vision and execution.

Elliott’s appointment underscores the commitment to broaden the creative initiatives within the agency as part of an ambitious growth agenda. He has served as the interim lead since September.

Elliott is a multi-award-winning creative with a wealth of experience in the advertising industry. He has predominantly worked in London’s top agencies including Mother, Lucky Generals, The And Partnership, and more recently AMVBBDO. Throughout his career, he has delivered successful campaigns across a vast portfolio of clients including Dr Pepper, Orange, Sky and RNIB.

At Weber Shandwick, Elliott will leverage his expertise to help clients excel in the earned space and is committed to ensuring they receive an exceptional client relationship experience. In his role, Elliott is tasked with leading the company’s creative department and overseeing the strategy and execution of creative campaigns.

Most recently, he orchestrated the collaboration between Budweiser and artist Sir Peter Blake, resulting in the launch of a limited-edition pop-art can. The can took centre stage in an interactive exhibition at London’s Truman Brewery in Shoreditch, featuring the groundbreaking ‘world’s first fridge frame’ to keep it cool.

Elliott: “Weber Shandwick is an agency boasting a diverse range of talent, capabilities and expertise. It’s a new world for me, and I have been blown away by the talented people and the smart way they go about their work. I am excited about collaborating with our talented teams to unleash the business’s full potential. It’s impactful creativity that can take our clients to new heights.”

Based in London, he will oversee a team of creatives across Weber Shandwick’s UK offices, in London, Manchester and Scotland reporting to UK President Amy Garrett.

Garrett: “We are thrilled to have Yan as part of our team. His wealth of experience and innovative approach to creativity, which lies at the heart of our business, will elevate our brand and drive forward our strategic vision for our clients and colleagues.”

Weber Shandwick is one of the most awarded earned-first global communications agencies. Recently, Weber Shandwick was named one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies in 2024, Ad Age’s A-List in 2024, PRovoke’s Global Agency of the Year in 2023 and was the most awarded PR agency at the 2023 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
