PRCA unveils refreshed brand identity

The rebrand follows a period of change for the organisation, including a member consultation conducted earlier this year that led to the adoption of a revised definition of public relations.

The Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) has introduced a refreshed brand identity as it continues to expand its role as a global membership organisation for the public relations, public affairs and communications profession.

The updated branding reflects the organisation’s evolution and is intended to better represent its position as a professional body serving agencies, in-house teams, practitioners and students worldwide.

New visual identity reflects organisational changes

The refreshed identity introduces a modern visual direction designed to align more closely with the PRCA’s role as a progressive, inclusive and authoritative voice within the communications industry.

The rebrand follows a period of change for the organisation, including a member consultation conducted earlier this year that led to the adoption of a revised definition of public relations. The definition was developed to improve understanding of the profession among both the public and organisations that procure PR services.

Wider programme of industry advocacy

The PRCA is also preparing to publish research conducted by CBI Economics that aims to measure the economic and societal contribution of the UK public relations industry for the first time.

The organisation said the updated brand identity will be rolled out across its activities and communications over the coming weeks.

Gabriela Weiss Clarke, Head of Comms at the PRCA: "This rebrand represents who we are today and where we are going. Over the last eighteen months we have changed considerably as an organisation, with an updated vision and very clear plan around advocacy, action, ethics and standards.

“We have an enhanced member value proposition, with stronger account management and member-only Strategic Advantage reports, as well as a Business Advisory Service and support tailored to in-house and agency teams. It’s fantastic to unveil a fresh new look that feels much more akin to who we are today.”

Focus on member services and industry standards

According to the PRCA, the rebrand supports a broader strategy centred on advocacy, professional standards, ethics and member services.

Recent initiatives have included expanded support for members through enhanced account management, Strategic Advantage reports, a Business Advisory Service and resources tailored to both agency and in-house communications teams.
