Movember has appointed Ogilvy as its PR agency of record in Australia following a competitive pitch, with the agency set to lead communications activity aimed at increasing awareness of men's health issues and driving participation in the annual fundraising campaign.

The partnership will see Ogilvy PR deliver earned media, influencer engagement, creative campaigns and strategic communications programmes. The agency's work begins immediately.

Agency to support awareness and participation goals

Founded in Australia in 2003 by two friends and 30 participants known as "Mo Bros", Movember has grown into a global men's health charity. The organisation has funded more than 1,250 projects worldwide focused on areas including mental health, suicide prevention, and prostate and testicular cancer.

Ogilvy secured the account after a competitive review process, with Movember citing the agency's earned creative capabilities, strategic approach and understanding of the men's health sector.

Ogilvy highlights long-standing connection to cause

James Curtis, Head of Consumer PR & Influence, Ogilvy Australia: "Movember holds a deeply personal significance for me. As a Mo Bro of 13 years, it is a cause I have championed for a long time and one that sits close to my heart. The organisation's ability to tackle serious men's health issues in a way that is genuinely unique and culturally resonant is something I have always admired. The opportunity to now contribute to that work, alongside such a talented agency team and client, is one we hold with real pride."

James Curtis: "We are excited to bring earned creative and culture-first thinking to Movember and help further amplify the incredible impact they continue to make. I can also say with confidence that 13 years of colleagues putting up with my questionable moustache has finally paid off."

Movember cites earned creative capabilities

Louise Fennelly, PR Manager Australia and New Zealand, Movember: "Ogilvy PR was selected for its earned creative credentials, strategic thinking, and deep understanding of the men's health landscape. The agency demonstrated a strong ability to develop ideas that generate genuine media and cultural traction, while also showing a genuine passion for our cause and a clear connection to Movember's mission. The appointment marks a significant step in the organisation's ambition to grow awareness, drive participation, and inspire more people to get involved in the movement."

Louise Fennelly: "Ogilvy PR's earned creative thinking, depth of strategic capability, and strong influencer relationships, combined with a genuine commitment to improving men's health, make the agency the right partner to amplify our mission. We look forward to working with them to connect with new audiences, spark meaningful conversations, and build on the incredible momentum Movember has generated globally."

Focus on expanding impact in 2026

Movember said 2026 is expected to be a significant year for the organisation as it seeks to expand its reach and strengthen its impact across men's health initiatives globally.

The charity continues to fund research and programmes addressing mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer, while working to improve the way health services engage and support men.
