Edelman appoints Anna Vogt as Global Chief Strategy Officer
Edelman has appointed Anna Vogt as Global Chief Strategy Officer, tasking her with leading the firm’s global strategy community and strengthening its focus on effectiveness, cultural relevance and earned-first brand building.
Anna Vogt will report to Tristan Roy, President, Integrated Solutions and Delivery. In the role, she will work across Edelman’s network to develop strategic platforms and ideas designed to drive cultural conversation and measurable business outcomes.
Strategy role focuses on effectiveness and earned-first growth
Working with strategists, creatives and client leaders, Anna Vogt will oversee the development of Edelman’s strategic offering. Her remit includes advancing the firm’s Earned Flywheel framework and scaling the use of data and AI-driven intelligence tools, including TrustStream, Edelman’s proprietary large language model-based system for real-time trust analysis and predictive insight.
Tristan Roy, President, Integrated Solutions and Delivery: "Anna is an exceptional strategic leader with a rare ability to translate culture, data, and human behavior into strategies and programs that deliver both relevance and results. She has a proven ability to integrate strategic disciplines across areas like social, UX, creator, AI, data and beyond. She is exactly the right person to help propel Edelman’s strategic ambition forward."
Appointment builds on investment in strategy and creativity
The appointment comes as Edelman continues to invest in strategic leadership across effectiveness, data-informed planning and creativity built around earned attention. Research including the firm’s Beyond the Buzz report and the Earned Effectiveness Paper developed with WARC points to culturally relevant, earned-first ideas outperforming more traditional approaches across profit, market share and sales.
Edelman said the findings reinforce its strategic direction and the need for leadership that connects cultural insight with commercial impact.
Global experience across agencies and brands
Anna Vogt joins Edelman from VML, where she currently serves as EMEA Chief Strategy Officer, overseeing strategic output across the region. Earlier in her career, she was a WPP Fellow and held senior strategy roles at BBH, MullenLowe and TBWA London.
Her experience includes work for global brands such as Unilever’s Persil and OMO, Nestlé’s KitKat, British Airways, Adidas, Dulux and Dubai Tourism.
Industry recognition and strategic influence
Across her career, Anna Vogt has contributed to highly awarded strategic and creative work, including a Cannes Lion Grand Prix, a Gold IPA Effectiveness Award and the UK Effie Grand Prix. She has also been involved in shaping the industry’s understanding of strategy, co-leading research that informed Cannes Lions’ first Creative Strategy Council and contributing to the creation of the Creative Strategy Lions category.
Anna Vogt: "I’m excited to join Edelman at such a pivotal moment and work with colleagues and clients on ideas that unlock the full power of brand trust and earned creativity. My goal is to make strategy an essential force across the firm and a powerful ally for our creatives and clients. When people work with Edelman, they should feel confident that growth will follow."
Edelman performance underlines strategic focus
Edelman continues to receive recognition for its creative and strategic output. The firm ranked third worldwide out of 44 agency groups at the WARC Effectiveness Awards and was the only earned and North American agency to receive medals at the IPA Effectiveness Awards.
In 2025, Edelman also won nine Lions at Cannes Lions, including Gold, for Progresso’s Soup Drops campaign, reflecting the firm’s emphasis on earned-first creative work.
