Edelman announces US appointments and market consolidation

Edelman has announced several leadership appointments to advance the firm’s communications advisory ambition and unify its go-to-market approach in key markets.

Brooke Buchanan, who joined Edelman in 2021, has been appointed the U.S. Lead for Crisis and Risk. Buchanan’s background in government affairs and political communications, coupled with her experience in managing corporate crises for global giants like Walmart, Williams-Sonoma, Whole Foods and JCPenney, uniquely positions her to drive impact in this critical area.

Chuck Kaiser has been appointed the U.S. Lead for Corporate Reputation. A 15-year veteran of the firm, Kaiser has an extensive background in leading corporate communications for organizations including Allstate and Motorola.

Radina Russell, U.S. Corporate Practice Chair, Edelman: “Brooke and Chuck bring a seasoned perspective and a results-driven approach that embodies Edelman’s ethos of action driving trust. I am thrilled to have them join our bench of veteran leaders who deliver industry-leading work, thought leadership, and innovation for our clients.”

The firm announced that it is also unifying its operations in California, naming Jonathan Jordan as General Manager, Edelman California, overseeing the Los Angeles and San Francisco businesses. It will take the same approach in Texas where Will Crain will serve as General Manager, Edelman Texas and oversee the operations in Austin, Dallas and Houston. These appointments underscore Edelman's commitment to fostering a cohesive community, enhancing capabilities, and implementing a unified go-to-market strategy in the respective regions.

Matthew Harrington, global President and COO, and acting CEO, Edelman U.S: "I am thrilled to congratulate Brooke, Chuck, Jonathan and Will on their well-deserved appointments. Their exceptional skills, leadership and dedication to our clients epitomize the values that drive Edelman's success."

These announcements follow other recent new hires and promotions including Alex Thompson, global Chair of Edelman’s Corporate Affairs and Impact practices; Ed Williams, President, International; Julian Payne, global Chair, Crisis; Courtney Gray Haupt, global Chief Operating Officer, Health; Radina Russell, U.S. Corporate Chair; and Pam Scheideler, U.S. Brand Chair.
