Belgian PR agency Evoke expands expertise with new recruitments

After a strong 2021, Evoke will continue to grow in 2022. With the recruitment of Robin De Clercq, Mattias Brants and Paul Geens, Evoke has acquired more than 25 years of accumulated experience and strengthens itself strategically in PR and audiovisual.

The team of the Brussels communication specialist in tech, transport and logistics is now nine heads strong, more than doubling in one year, definitively cementing its place in the Belgian PR landscape.

Evoke, the Brussels PR agency based in the tech and business incubator ICAB, is bringing no fewer than three new names on board. With the hirings, each with a different profile, Evoke continues its steep growth from the past year.

Robin De Clercq obtained a master's degree in communication sciences and journalism at Ghent University. He worked for more than seven years as a (video) journalist, mainly for De Standaard , and then worked as an independent content creator (both copy and video) and communications consultant at FINN . At Evoke he will use his experience in PR and corporate communication as well as with storytelling and video for various clients.

Mattias Brants is also a certified communication scientist (VUB), and also followed courses in web design and audiovisual production (RITCS). During a varied career, he worked as a reporter for TV Brussels and an audiovisual assistant in the film sector. More recently , he held various communication positions within the VUB , including communication coordinator at the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Solvay Business School . With his audiovisual expertise and know-how, his arrival also means a serious boost for Evoke's video team.

Paul Geens is a linguist and literature expert by training and speaks five languages. In addition to various experiences at KBC Autolease and TEAM LEWIS , he spent four years at Vademecom , where he learned all the tricks of communication and developed into a strong all-rounder with special expertise in copywriting and press relations, both nationally and internationally. At Evoke, he will mainly focus on PR and coach the younger consultants based on his experience.

Corneel Haine, founder and managing partner, Evoke: “ PR is and will remain a separate sector and requires a combination of very diverse characteristics and skills. Contrary to what is sometimes thought, 'being able to explain it well' is not enough. Moreover, it is a profession that you do not learn at school, but on the job 'on the job. In that sense, we are particularly pleased to broaden our team with Robin, Mattias and Paul, who have the necessary experience and maturity to start working with customers right away. This was necessary to support our growth and meet the ever-increasing demand for video, and of course also with a view to further growth .”
