World Out of Home Organization expands global membership
Following a strong APAC Forum in Seoul that brought together more than 400 delegates, the World Out of Home Organization, WOO, has confirmed the addition of 13 members from multiple regions, underscoring continued international engagement with the medium.
The new members span Europe, the United States, the Middle East and Asia. They include five national media owners, six Out of Home service providers and suppliers, and two national Out of Home associations, reflecting a broad cross-section of the global ecosystem.
Global spread of new members
Countries represented among the incoming members are the UK, Ireland, the United States, Greece, the UAE, China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines.
The national media owners joining the organisation are NTT Docomo from Japan, Atrapos Media from Greece, Addd Inc from the Republic of Korea, Orange Barrel Media from the United States, and Info Media G.Billboard Advertising LLC from the UAE.
Service providers and associations join network
The new service providers and suppliers are Playlog from Indonesia, Adzymic from Singapore, Shenzhen Mightary LED Co. Ltd and Unilumin from China, Shinka Ltd from Ireland, and Geomotive (Meter) from the UK.
Two national associations have also joined: the Outdoor Media Association of Ireland and the Out of Home Advertising Association of the Philippines, further strengthening the organisation’s representative reach.
Mark Flys, Chief Operating Officer: "OOH is thriving in the face of global uncertainty and with almost 300 members WOO is working with the rest of the industry to help build the power and reach of the medium even further."
The growing membership base supports collaboration across markets and disciplines, with a focus on shared standards, insight and advocacy for the Out of Home sector worldwide.
The role of the WOO database
A central resource for members is the WOO database, which is updated on a regular basis and made available to member companies, associations and their employees. The database is overseen by Heather Wallace, Insights Manager.
It brings together information on global Out of Home developments, case studies examining the relationship between OOH and mobile, regulatory frameworks in different markets, and official reports from national associations.
