Spotify and TikTok launch BookTok audiobook hub
Spotify has introduced a co-branded hub with TikTok that brings trending BookTok titles to audiobook listeners. The Big on BookTok hub, available in the US through November, turns the viral To Be Read lists circulating on TikTok into curated To Be Listened playlists.
Updated every two weeks, the hub uses data from TikTok to spotlight audiobooks currently resonating across the #BookTok community. The initiative is designed to give readers-turned-listeners an easy way to engage with popular titles in audio form.
At launch, the hub features bestsellers including A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas, The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller, They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera, Becoming by Michelle Obama and Beloved by Toni Morrison.
The experience also includes themed playlists such as audiobooks I would sell my soul to listen to again and audiobooks that got me back into reading, alongside author-curated selections from names ranging from Emily Henry to Jane Austen. Spotify’s editorial team has also created discovery shelves like BookTok’s current obsessions, Hottest authors and The OGs of BookTok.
The collaboration highlights how BookTok has evolved into a global driver of literary engagement, turning viral recommendations into bestsellers and influencing reading habits worldwide. By linking TikTok-driven book trends with Spotify’s audiobook library, the platform aims to make discovery more seamless and accessible.
