Porsche integrates in-car gaming
AirConsole, the in-car gaming platform, will be integrated into the new Porsche Macan later this year, bringing a curated catalog of casual, multiplayer games into the brand’s entertainment system.
The collaboration allows passengers to play together on the central infotainment screen while parked, or continue gaming on the front passenger display once the vehicle is in motion. Smartphones serve as controllers, requiring no additional hardware.
The launch marks another milestone for Zurich-based AirConsole, which has been expanding its partnerships with major automotive manufacturers since introducing its platform in 2023.
Gaming for the mobility era
Anthony Cliquot, CEO, AirConsole: "Our collaboration with Porsche is a powerful signal of how quickly AirConsole is scaling in the automotive industry. In just two years since launching our in-car platform, we've partnered with some of the world's most respected car brands, now including Porsche. This momentum confirms that gaming has a meaningful place in the future of mobility, and we're proud to be leading that evolution."
AirConsole specializes in short-session titles suited for the car environment. Porsche passengers will have access to racing, trivia, party and sports games, including Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? from Sony Pictures Television, Overcooked from Team17 and UNO Car Party! from Mattel. The catalog supports solo play or multiplayer sessions with up to five participants.
Rollout and availability
AirConsole will debut with the Macan at the end of 2025 in all markets where Porsche Connect is available, except China. The service will be accessible through the Porsche App Center and included in the Porsche Connect package.
Porsche and AirConsole will present more details at the IAA Motor Show in Munich on 10 September, where Anthony Cliquot will join Porsche executives to discuss the role of in-car gaming in the future of mobility.
Since launching its automotive platform in July 2023, AirConsole has released more than 40 game titles in partnership with OEMs and independent studios, underscoring its position as a pioneer in the growing in-car entertainment sector.
