PMG deepens focus on integrated growth strategy

PMG has expanded its strategy practice in response to growing demand from brands seeking partners that can support both marketing performance and wider business transformation. The development builds on the company’s work in delivering integrated strategy services aimed at measurable growth across enterprise organisations.

The expanded practice is positioned to connect marketing performance with broader organisational outcomes, reflecting increasing alignment between marketing and finance leadership in companies seeking clearer links between investment and business results.

Strategy practice targets enterprise transformation

PMG said its approach is designed to bridge the gap between marketing activity and enterprise-level impact, with an emphasis on tying services and fees to business outcomes rather than outputs.

Over the past year, PMG has delivered multiple large-scale strategic engagements for enterprise clients. These include audience strategy, growth planning, business intelligence operations, communications planning, campaign development, brand repositioning and organisational transformation.

The company said this scope reflects a growing expectation among brands for partners that can support end-to-end strategy as well as execution.

Leadership appointments support expansion

To support the expanded practice, PMG has appointed new leadership across its strategy organisation.

Tim Lardner, who has led PMG’s strategy team in recent years, will head the business transformation strategy practice. Jonathan Tatlow joins as SVP Strategy, overseeing communications strategy, creative strategy and insights globally.

Jonathan Tatlow previously served as Chief Strategy Officer at Digitas, where he led a unified strategy function for six years. He later held the role of Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer at Verndale.

Jonathan Tatlow: “PMG is doing something meaningfully different in the marketplace, with a technologically fluent and data-native approach that allows us to advise and guide ambitious brands on how to accelerate their business growth. I’m excited to join PMG and build on this exceptional foundation to further expand our services and accelerate impact for our customers.”

Focus on integrated execution model

PMG highlighted its emphasis on embedding strategy within client organisations to support ongoing testing, learning and implementation rather than delivering standalone recommendations.

The company said it has structured its strategy organisation into two centres of excellence to support both transformation work and media and creative strategy.

Tim Lardner, Vice President of Strategy, PMG: “For years, our role at PMG has transcended traditional service delivery, and we are now an engine of enterprise-level transformation for the world’s leading brands. To optimize for this scale, we have structured two focused Centers of Excellence. This move allows us to deliver high-impact transformation work in parallel with world-class media and creative strategy, creating a dual-track value proposition that ensures our clients are positioned for both immediate performance and long-term resilience.”

PMG said recent work includes go-to-market strategy development for a global fashion brand, media allocation frameworks for a consumer electronics company, and data and governance systems to support AI deployment at scale.

George Popstefanov, Founder and CEO, PMG: “Providing strategic guidance that meaningfully impacts business results has always been at the core of PMG’s mission. Expanding our business transformation and strategy practice is a testament to how valuable this is to the brands we work with, helping them navigate complexity and unlock growth in a way that addresses their business’s unique needs.”
