Omnicom third quarter revenue rises to $6.4bn

Adjusted diluted earnings per share rose 22 percent to $2.73 as the advertising group continued integrating Interpublic Group (IPG), which it acquired in November 2025.

Omnicom reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $6.4 billion, while organic revenue from core operations grew 7.2 percent to $6.0 billion.

The company reported operating income of $991.7 million for the quarter ended 30 September 2026. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes and amortisation (EBITA) reached $1.1 billion, with a 17.6 percent margin on reported revenue.

Omnicom reports growth from core operations

Revenue from core operations increased 7.3 percent year on year to $6.0 billion, compared with $5.6 billion in the same quarter of 2025 on a combined Omnicom and IPG basis. Organic growth contributed $400.8 million, while foreign currency translation added $3.4 million.

Adjusted EBITA from core operations increased 21.1 percent to $1.1 billion, while the adjusted margin rose to 18.2 percent from 16.2 percent a year earlier. Omnicom attributed the improvement primarily to cost-reduction synergies and organic revenue growth.

Media accounts for more than half of core revenue

Integrated Media generated $3.2 billion, representing 53.0 percent of core operations revenue. Advertising contributed $935.4 million, or 15.6 percent, while Public Relations accounted for $678.3 million, or 11.3 percent.

Experiential and Other generated $644.3 million, representing 10.7 percent of core revenue, while Health contributed $566.6 million, or 9.4 percent.

Omnicom targets $900 million in cost synergies

John Wren, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Omnicom: "As we approach the one-year anniversary of the Interpublic acquisition, we continue to deliver the expected benefits of the combination. We've strengthened our competitive position and are on track to deliver $900 million in cost-reduction synergies in 2026 resulting in stronger organic revenue growth, operating margins, and earnings per share. With our integration nearly complete and our portfolio of companies and operations streamlined, we're focused on high-demand services and are well positioned to pursue future growth. We'll continue investing in our people and agentic technology to drive measurable business outcomes for our clients."

The company said integration and repositioning costs continued to affect its results. Third-quarter 2026 adjusted EBITA excluded $40.4 million in integration and transaction costs, $84.7 million in severance and repositioning costs, and a $106.8 million gain on the disposal of a subsidiary.

Reported earnings reflect the IPG acquisition

Reported diluted earnings per share increased to $2.38 from $1.75 in the third quarter of 2025. Adjusted diluted earnings per share rose to $2.73 from $2.24, an increase of 21.9 percent.

Net income attributable to Omnicom Group Inc. reached $656.0 million, compared with $341.3 million a year earlier. The company attributed the higher reported revenue and operating income primarily to the IPG acquisition and revenue growth, while integration-related expenses partially offset the gains.
