Omnicom reports revenue growth in first quarter
Omnicom reported revenue growth and higher adjusted earnings for the first quarter of 2026, supported by its expanded capabilities following the integration of The Interpublic Group of Companies.
The company posted total revenue of 6.2 billion dollars for the period, while revenue from core operations reached 5.6 billion dollars, representing organic growth of 3.9 percent.
Integration supports operational performance
The results reflect the impact of Omnicom’s acquisition of IPG, which closed in November 2025, alongside ongoing integration efforts and cost synergies. Adjusted EBITA from core operations increased to 833.5 million dollars, with margins rising to 14.8 percent.
John Wren, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Omnicom: "Our strong first quarter performance as the new Omnicom reflects our new integrated capabilities, core portfolio operations, and successful integration activities. With the largest global media platform, proprietary data and identity capabilities, and our AI-powered Omni platform in full operation, we are uniquely equipped to help clients address an increasingly fragmented and complex marketing environment. In the quarter, we delivered solid revenue growth and double-digit growth in Non-GAAP adjusted diluted EPS. We are also on track to achieve substantial cost reduction synergies and 3.5 billion dollars in share repurchases this year under our 5.0 billion dollar authorization. This combination of operational excellence and disciplined capital allocation positions us to deliver profitability and earnings-per-share growth that will set a new standard for our sector."
Integrated media leads revenue contribution
Integrated media remained the largest contributor to core operations revenue, accounting for 51.5 percent, followed by advertising, public relations, experiential and health disciplines.
Regionally, the United States represented the majority of revenue at 61.4 percent, with additional contributions from Europe, Asia Pacific and other markets.
Earnings and costs reflect acquisition impact
Operating income increased to 646.2 million dollars, while adjusted diluted earnings per share rose to 1.90 dollars, up 12 percent year on year. Reported diluted earnings per share stood at 1.35 dollars.
Operating expenses rose significantly, driven primarily by the inclusion of IPG operations and related integration costs. Salary and service costs accounted for the majority of the increase, reflecting both acquisition-related expansion and revenue growth.
Outlook shaped by market conditions
Omnicom highlighted ongoing economic uncertainty, including geopolitical developments, inflation and interest rate changes, as factors that could affect performance across regions and disciplines.
The company stated it continues to monitor market conditions and adjust its cost structure and operations in response to shifts in client demand and broader economic trends.
