Ocean Outdoor seeks partners for 2026 DOOH climate fund
Ocean Outdoor has opened applications for Drops in the Ocean, the company’s annual fund supporting environmental organisations through Digital Out of Home media. The 2026 edition will select six partners to amplify their work across major UK cities.
Now in its fifth year, the programme allocates 2 percent of Ocean’s annual reported revenue in screen space to organisations focused on protecting the planet. Beneficiaries gain access to placements across premium DOOH sites in 18 cities, giving campaigns national visibility.
Fund has delivered wide-scale support since launch
Across the past four years, Ocean has donated close to £9 million in media space to 25 non-profits, helping raise funds, support conservation, and promote land and sea protection initiatives in the UK and internationally. Applications for the 2026 fund close on 30 January 2026, with submissions accepted online.
Previous partners include independent creative and media agency Media Bounty and the World Land Trust, which launched a nationwide awareness effort in 2023. The campaign led to a 199 percent increase in website traffic, with 95 percent of visits coming from first-time users, and a 93 percent rise in income from the cities targeted.
Past partners highlight campaign impact
Phil Hall, CEO, Ocean Outdoor UK: “Amid ongoing climate and biodiversity crises, Ocean maintains an unwavering faith in the power of our audience and people who care. Now in its fifth year, Drops in the Ocean is designed to spark curiosity and hope, raise awareness and address important environmental issues head on.”
Last year’s partners included Born Free, which campaigned against the captivity of great apes in zoos, and Bite-Back, which used the platform to deliver Sharks Save, its first Out of Home campaign created by GOOD agency. The Canal and River Trust used its award to showcase wildlife across waterways.
Broad reach helps organisations grow awareness
Helen Keating, national campaigns, celebrity and influencer manager at the Canal and River Trust: “Ocean’s support made a real difference in helping to bring our message to life. It meant we could reach new audiences in really high-profile locations, way beyond what we could have achieved on our own. The campaign resulted in a noticeable lift in brand awareness, which really demonstrates the tangible impact of the donation.”
Shona Dobson, senior marketing manager, Ocean Outdoor: “By supporting frontline conservationists and inspiring public action, we are working to help safeguard our oceans, address climate change and secure the future of our planet for everyone.”
