Ocean Outdoor secures British Land deal

The long-term agreement covers the company's estates at Paddington Central, Regent's Place and Broadgate, including the Liverpool Street area

Ocean Outdoor UK has been appointed as the digital out-of-home (DOOH) media partner for British Land in London following a competitive tender. The long-term agreement covers the company's estates at Paddington Central, Regent's Place and Broadgate, including the Liverpool Street area.

The first phase of the contract will introduce 33 small-format full-motion screens, expanding Ocean Outdoor's The Loop network in London from 81 to 114 screens.

Network expands across central London

The investment supports British Land's redevelopment of pedestrianised mixed-use destinations, including Broadgate, which is located next to Liverpool Street Station. The station handled 98 million passengers in the year to March 2025.

At Paddington Central, Ocean Outdoor will also manage the existing large-format LED community screen, which is used for sports broadcasts and film screenings. Similar permanent community screens are under discussion for Regent's Place and Broadgate.

Estates include major transport hubs

Paddington Central is located adjacent to Paddington Station, which serves close to 70 million passengers annually. Regent's Place combines offices, residential buildings and public spaces on the north side of Euston Road.

Broadgate Central previously hosted the Ocean Showcase, a temporary installation used during the launch of the retail, leisure and dining destination.

Ocean Outdoor expands London portfolio

Ross McCall, Retail Leasing and Commercialisation Director, British Land: "We chose Ocean Outdoor as our media partner based on their track record and extensive knowledge as a pioneer in premium DOOH. We look forward to seeing how their innovative use of outdoor spaces will connect with our customers and visitors at our London Campuses."

Nick Shaw, Chief Executive Officer, Ocean Outdoor UK: "The addition of British Land to our portfolio is a significant milestone. This new partnership extends our DOOH portfolio into new and emerging London hotspots, growing The Loop, our premium small format network across the city. For brands, this represents a prime opportunity to reach affluent outdoor audiences in close proximity to two of London's busiest stations with a blend of live, curated content and creative advertising."

In London, Ocean Outdoor also manages DOOH advertising contracts for BFI IMAX, Piccadilly Lights on behalf of Landsec, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, Battersea Power Station and Canary Wharf.
