Monks Tech and Hydrolix partner on real-time media monitoring

Monks Technology Services has formed a strategic partnership with Hydrolix to support broadcasters, OTT platforms, and streaming companies with real-time observability across hybrid cloud and CDN environments.

The collaboration aims to reduce the financial and operational strain that comes with scaling monitoring systems as media operations continue shifting to the cloud.

As traditional observability platforms grow more expensive at scale, media companies often face difficult choices around data retention and performance. By integrating Hydrolix’s high-volume analytics platform, Monks intends to consolidate observability data from CDNs, client telemetry, and origin servers into one unified analytics layer with sub-second query speeds and significant compression.

Partnership focuses on cost-efficient real-time visibility

Rajiv Malhotra, SVP Partnerships, Monks Technology Services: "Our clients are transforming production control rooms and global broadcast operations in real-time. They need observability solutions that keep pace with hybrid cloud architectures and deliver enterprise-grade performance without breaking the budget. By integrating Hydrolix into our cloud transformation offerings, we help clients evaluate costs, streamline data visibility, and accelerate their modernization journeys."

Heather Mellish, VP of Partnerships, Hydrolix: "Media companies have been forced to choose between visibility and affordability. Together with Monks, we're delivering real-time observability that scales economically—precisely when broadcasters and streamers need it most. With this partnership, streaming content providers can achieve 5-second ingest latency, which includes data enrichment, transformation, indexing and compression; reliable subsecond ad hoc query latency, and ultra low-cost storage. We are the fastest, most affordable real time analytics solution on the market."

Key capabilities target modern broadcast and streaming needs

The partnership supports unified multi-CDN observability, real-time operational intelligence with latency between five and ten seconds, cost-optimized long-term retention with up to fifty-fold compression, and hybrid cloud compatibility. Pre-built dashboards will assist with ad verification, piracy detection, bot management, and client experience work.

Hydrolix is available through AWS Marketplace and can be deployed as a managed service, inside a customer’s AWS VPC, or within environments managed by Monks. The companies plan joint go-to-market initiatives, including technical enablement for engineering teams and proof-of-concept deployments to demonstrate cost and performance improvements over legacy systems.
