In the role, Deb Stroff will oversee Monks’ global people agenda, with responsibility for talent management and recruitment, organizational design, and the integration of people-focused software systems. The remit is intended to support Monks’ positioning as a Real-Time Brand and its broader organizational evolution.
Strengthening people operations during execution phase
The appointment comes during what Monks describes as a year of operational execution, with a focus on internal AI transformation and a human-first approach to collaboration. Deb Stroff will be tasked with adding structure and consistency to human resources operations, spanning people strategy, employee relations, and the rollout of systems designed to support organizational change.
She will also take a holistic view of the employee lifecycle at Monks, with a mandate to refine the overall experience in ways that support both talent development and business growth.
Sir Martin Sorrell, Executive Chairman, S4 Capital: “Our success in this new era of advertising depends entirely on our ability to move from making assets to making decisions at speed. As we architect a future where AI develops intelligence and end-to-end orchestration, we need leadership that can bridge high-tech efficiency with high-touch human connection. Deb's extensive experience in building scalable, rigorous organisational structures is exactly what we need to ensure our talent remains our most powerful differentiator.”
Leadership background and priorities
Deb Stroff joins Monks from Jersey Mike’s and brings experience from leadership roles at Quartet Health, OnDeck Capital, Hogarth, Coty, Time Inc., and Ernst & Young. Her background spans professional services, media, consumer goods, and technology-enabled organizations.
Her appointment aligns with Monks’ priorities for 2026, which include improving the day-to-day experience of work through AI adoption and encouraging a culture centered on shared learning and transparency.
Bruno Lambertini, CEO, Marketing Services, Monks: “Deb's arrival marks a significant step in our mission to create a truly integrated, agile foundation for our teams. By implementing the right software and incentive structures, she will empower our Monks to have more time creating the authentic, human-centric solutions that help our clients carve their place in culture.”
Building systems for scale and accountability
Operational leaders at Monks have emphasized the importance of people systems that can keep pace with the company’s growth and increasing use of AI. The Chief People Officer role is positioned as central to aligning speed, accountability, and organizational clarity.
Nikki Gifford, Chief Operating Officer, Technology Services, Monks: “Deb understands how to build people systems that support speed, accountability, and growth in an AI-enabled organization. As we move into our next phase of execution, her leadership will be critical to ensuring our talent strategy keeps pace with how fast Monks is evolving.”
