Monks appoints Chris Wilhelmi as EVP, Global Data
Monks, the digital-first operating brand of S4 Capital, has named Chris Wilhelmi as its new executive vice president, global data. In this role, Wilhelmi will lead the agency’s global data strategy, advancing the integration of AI across client marketing operations and strengthening collaboration between Monks’ data, media, and creative teams.
Wilhelmi will report to Bruno Lambertini, chief executive officer of Monks, and work closely with James Stephens, EVP and head of North America, to expand measurement frameworks and data-led innovation across Monks’ go-to-market platforms.
Wilhelmi’s remit includes oversight of research and development initiatives and the application of Monks’ proprietary AI platform, Monks.Flow. His objective is to unify technical capabilities and data insight to deliver measurable business impact for clients.
Bruno Lambertini, chief executive officer, Monks: “Chris is the perfect fit to carry on Monks' data leadership legacy. I'm looking forward to seeing him work alongside James to broaden our data solutions, creating more value for our clients through a combination of technical skills, AI innovation, and a holistic view of data-driven marketing. This will help take our GTMs—Real Time Brands, Orchestration, and Glass Bos Media—to the next level.”
James Stephens, EVP and head of North America, Monks: “We're thrilled to welcome Chris to Monks, where he will set a forward-looking agenda for the next evolution of our data offering. Chris brings a holistic view of the marketing ecosystem that enables us to design for data insight at every touchpoint. He will be instrumental in our efforts to bridge the gap between our clients' greatest ambitions of brand and business building and the real-time measures of marketing investment efficacy in the world.”
Wilhelmi joins Monks with more than two decades of experience transforming data into actionable marketing insight. His career began with database marketing and predictive modelling at Comcast, followed by leadership roles in analytics at MRM, Publicis, and Tapjoy.
At R/GA, Wilhelmi led analytics for major accounts including Verizon, Nike, Samsung, and Ameriprise. He later joined Epsilon, where he contributed to the expansion of its Google business. Most recently, he served as chief data and analytics officer at UM, part of IPG, where he supported brands such as General Mills, American Express, Hulu, Sony Pictures, CVS Health, and Charles Schwab.
Chris Wilhelmi: “After decades in this industry, I'm thrilled to join an organization that has embraced innovation and the power of data-driven marketing from the start. We've already hit the ground running and I cannot wait to bring my experience to bear as we create holistic, innovative solutions that are defining the future of results-driven marketing.”
