Marketing agency iO expands talent pool with new recruitments

At iO there is no shortage of enthusiastic applicants. At the start of this year, the marketing agency recruited 45 new talents throughout the Benelux. Noteworthy: in Antwerp, a number of high-profile hires left established agencies such as Propaganda and BBDO behind for this new kid on the block. What makes working at iO so attractive? "The market is looking for companies that know how to bundle talent. And that's what iO offers."

A growing full-service team of talents helping clients with strategy, content, creation, marketing, and technology: that's iO. Goal: to help companies with their communication and digital transformation to be competitive in the market. It’s a message that’s catching on, as evidenced by the recent surge of recruitments in a sector in which movement of talent is often more of a trickle than a wave.

Thought leader and iO strategic partner Steven Van Belleghem suggests that this has everything to do with the changing market: "Challenges and opportunities for businesses have increased. The market demands a partner who can help with strategy and data analysis and can also handle the creative components. An agency that knows how to bundle all those talents, meets those needs perfectly."

Years of experience at iO Campus Antwerp

Potential employees have also picked up on this. Campus Antwerp has gained four senior profiles, who are eager to be part of the iO story.

Ruth Nys leaves behind a job at Propaganda for a new position as Strategy Director Content, Stephanie Katic comes from BBDO as our newest Account Director. Denisa Nica (ex-P&G Global/Bisnode, Deloitte Digital) and Dries Steyaert (Client Service Director, Duke & Grace) join the Strategy team, respectively as Service & Experience Designer and Business Lead.

Ruth Nys: "I believe in the power of content marketing. And it really chimes with me when you can bring premium content together with innovative technology. For me, iO is the perfect breeding ground to develop these opportunities. The scale and the available expertise mean that we can realise fantastic 360° projects as part of the metaverse."

Stephanie Katic, Account Director, iO: "In my role I will support the growth of the account team. I’ll also keep my finger on the pulse of our clients of course: we need to really understand what their challenges are, and train ourselves to spot opportunities, so that we can keep doing more tomorrow than today. And above all: to ensure that we can use our creative skills smarter – we have them at Campus Antwerp, but we cannot deploy them in all campuses yet. I’m really looking forward to being on campus. That will be easy because I live just ten minutes away."

iO stands for Infinite Opportunities, and we live that promise. Every iO campus welcomes curious people who love digital and marketing – and who want to be part of projects that they can be proud of.

iO aspires to be a breeding ground for talent development, where colleagues can learn from each other every day: everyone works in self-managing, multidisciplinary teams where knowledge sharing is central. Along with this, the close-to-home aspect of iO is another asset: with 12 campuses throughout Northern Europe, opportunity is always nearby for those who feel a click with the iO story. And for now, there is space on every campus: this year alone, iO is still hoping to hire 300 new talents.
