IPA welcomes five agencies to membership

The Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) has admitted five agencies to its membership, reflecting continued expansion across creative, media and data-driven disciplines. Ace of Hearts, Jack Ryan Media, Piqniq, PMG and Vega Comms were confirmed at the organisation’s latest Council meeting on 29 April.

The intake highlights a mix of independent and international agencies strengthening their presence in the UK market, while also underlining the IPA’s role as a benchmark for effectiveness, talent development and industry standards.

Agencies align with effectiveness and growth priorities

Several of the newly admitted members point to the IPA’s frameworks and training as central to their decision. Agencies emphasise the need to demonstrate measurable impact, develop talent and navigate increasing complexity in areas such as AI, data and brand-building.

Three of the agencies—Jack Ryan Media, Piqniq and Vega Comms—progressed from the IPA’s Accelerator programme to full membership, signalling growth in scale and capability.

Tom Mott, Director of Membership, IPA: "I am delighted to welcome Ace of Hearts, Jack Ryan Media, Piqniq, PMG and Vega Comms into IPA membership. They are exciting agencies and will be fantastic additions to the IPA community. I am also pleased that three of them – Jack Ryan, Piqniq and Vega Comms – have moved up from our Accelerator scheme into full membership and that Vega Comms were an IPA Beacon Agency last year."

Diverse models reflect shifting agency landscape

The new members represent a broad range of agency models. Ace of Hearts combines brand design with strategic consultancy, while Jack Ryan Media focuses on behaviour-change campaigns grounded in data and cultural insight, including work with the NHS.

Piqniq enters as an independent, majority female-owned and B Corp-certified media agency, positioning itself around responsible and modern media practices. Meanwhile, PMG continues to build its UK footprint with an integrated model spanning media, creative, data and technology, supported by its proprietary platform.

Vega Comms brings a data-led approach to media planning and activation, focusing on measurable business outcomes and scalable growth strategies for clients.

Membership supports scaling ambitions

Across the cohort, a consistent theme is the use of IPA membership as a platform for growth. Agencies cite access to industry research, professional development and peer collaboration as key drivers, particularly as marketing becomes more complex and performance-driven.

The expansion also reflects broader shifts in the agency landscape, where effectiveness, accountability and integration across disciplines are becoming central to competitive positioning.
