InMobi acquires app marketing platform MobileAction

Global technology company powering the future of agentic commerce and advertising InMobi has acquired MobileAction, an AI-powered app marketing and analytics platform, in a move aimed at strengthening its advertising capabilities across the iOS ecosystem. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2013 and headquartered in San Francisco, MobileAction provides app developers and marketers with tools focused on Apple Ads and App Store Optimization. The platform is designed to help brands improve app discoverability and user acquisition through AI-driven analytics and campaign optimisation.

Acquisition targets iOS growth opportunities

The deal expands InMobi Advertising’s ability to support brands seeking to reach iOS app users through both organic growth strategies and AI-powered optimisation tools.

InMobi said the acquisition also strengthens its broader advertising and commerce offering by combining MobileAction’s app marketing expertise with its existing consumer and advertising platforms, including Glance.

MobileAction works with global brands and app publishers including Google, Meta, Doordash, Square, Zalando, Playtika and Priceline. According to the company, its platform analyses data across more than 90 million creatives, 6 million keywords, 5 million apps, 100,000 publishers and 500,000 advertisers.

AI and app analytics remain central focus

The acquisition comes as advertising platforms continue to invest in AI-driven targeting, automation and measurement tools for mobile marketing.

Rohit Dosi, Vice President & General Manager, InMobi: “As the advertising ecosystem shifts toward AI-led intelligence and platform-native expertise, marketers need partners who can deliver both scale and precision. MobileAction's AI-powered platform and leadership in helping marketers drive growth for their apps makes this a highly strategic addition to InMobi Advertising. Together, we're better positioned to help marketers and brands drive sustainable, intelligent growth in an agentic world.”

MobileAction will continue operating as a dedicated platform following the completion of the transaction, with its teams across the United States, Europe and Turkey joining the InMobi Group.

InMobi plans further investment

InMobi said it plans to continue investing in MobileAction’s product development and international expansion, with a focus on markets including the US, APAC and MENA regions.

Aykut Karaalioglu, Founder & CEO, MobileAction: “Joining InMobi marks an exciting next chapter for MobileAction. I look forward to partnering with Rohit, and I am confident our shared vision for the future of agentic AI-driven advertising — spanning innovation, data-driven decision-making, and customer impact — will allow us to accelerate our roadmap and deliver even greater value to marketers worldwide.”

The acquisition reflects ongoing consolidation in the mobile advertising and app marketing sector as companies seek to expand AI capabilities and strengthen platform-specific expertise.
