Dentsu revises EMEA leadership structure
Dentsu has introduced a revised operating structure across EMEA, reorganising the region into three core business clusters as part of a broader effort to simplify operations and strengthen client alignment.
The updated model will divide the region into Northern Europe, Central Europe, and Western & Southern Europe and MEA, with leadership responsibilities expanded for several senior executives.
Dentsu restructures EMEA operations
Under the revised structure, Annette Male will lead the Northern Europe cluster, adding the Nordics, Benelux, and Baltics to her existing responsibilities in the UK and Ireland.
Annette Male joined Dentsu in 2024 and has served as CEO of UK&I for the past 18 months. Her previous experience includes work with brands such as HSBC, Visa, Disney, Nestlé, and Unilever.
Sławomir Stępniewski will continue leading the Central Europe cluster, which was integrated during 2025 as part of the company’s regional unification efforts.
Mariano Di Benedetto expands remit
Mariano Di Benedetto will oversee the Western & Southern Europe and MEA cluster, adding Spain, Portugal, France, and Sub-Saharan Africa to his current responsibilities.
His existing remit includes Italy, Greece, Israel, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco, Lebanon, Qatar, and Türkiye.
Mariano Di Benedetto previously held positions including CEO of iProspect Italy and Chief Digital Officer at Dentsu Aegis Network. He also led the launch of iProspect in the Italian market.
André Andrade to leave Dentsu
As part of the changes, André Andrade will leave the company after more than 20 years, including the last three years as EMEA CEO.
Takeshi Sano, President and Global CEO of Dentsu: “Since stepping into the Global CEO role, my focus has been on building a simpler, more agile and an even more client-centric dentsu.”
Takeshi Sano added that the revised structure is intended to reduce operational complexity, improve collaboration across markets, and accelerate decision-making closer to clients.
The changes will take effect from 1 July 2026.
