BarkleyOKRP hires Brandon Cooke as Marketing Chief

He succeeds Jason Parks, who is retiring after nearly 30 years with the agency

BarkleyOKRP has appointed Brandon Cooke as Chief Marketing and Growth Officer, placing him in charge of the independent agency's marketing, communications, brand and business development activities across its four U.S. offices.

Based in New York, Brandon Cooke joins BarkleyOKRP from FCB Global, where he served as Global Chief Marketing Officer and International Affiliates Lead.

He succeeds Jason Parks, who is retiring after nearly 30 years with the agency. Reporting to CEO Katy Hornaday, Brandon Cooke will oversee the agency's marketing, communications, brand and new business teams. The appointment also brings client experience and business development under a single leadership role for the first time.

Leadership transition at BarkleyOKRP

During his time at FCB Global, Brandon Cooke led the agency's global growth strategy, contributing to client wins including Kellanova and Kimberly-Clarke while helping strengthen the network's industry profile.

Katy Hornaday, CEO of BarkleyOKRP: "We have big ambitions and to make our vision real we have to have the very best team. Our criteria is pretty simple: incredible talent and no ego in sight. Brandon absolutely lives up to that bar. I’m beyond excited to see how Brandon leads and shapes the growth of BarkleyOKRP."

Brandon Cooke: "It’s always been about the ‘who’ for me in deciding where I go next. Each person I met at BarkleyOKRP from Katy onward gave me the feeling that we could do something special together, while having a lot of fun. Clients feel this too, which makes this opportunity to take the agency to new heights all the more thrilling."

Jason Parks retires after three decades

Jason Parks is retiring after helping lead BarkleyOKRP's business development through a period of national expansion and sustained growth, contributing to its position as one of the largest independent agencies in the United States.

Jason Parks: "I’ve been incredibly lucky to spend nearly three decades growing up at BarkleyOKRP—from starting as an intern to leading our growth efforts. The best part has always been the people. Watching great talent do great work never gets old. Brandon gets what makes BarkleyOKRP special, and I can’t wait to see where he helps take the agency next."

Agency continues expansion

Before joining FCB Global, Brandon Cooke held senior leadership positions at Grey and mcgarrybowen, now Dentsu Creative. During his career, he has worked on business development for clients including Procter & Gamble, Intel, United Airlines and Burger King. He was also named to Ad Age's 40 Under 40 and is a member of the American Advertising Federation Hall of Achievement.

The appointment follows a series of developments for BarkleyOKRP, including the opening of its first New York office, the appointment of Brad Jones as Chief Creative Officer, double-digit growth in its media business and its most awarded performance at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in 2026.
